A Spring Roundup

May has been a hectic month so far for The Music Consortium as we keep filling our already packed 2017 schedule with more jobs and more clients we can only imagine how much we will grow this year. Radio 1’s Big Weekend and Slam Dunk are mere days away and we are all set to get this summer started.

2017 has already brought some new exciting things to TMC. We’ve built a shiny new website; that you’re hopefully reading this on, decided to take part in Plasa Focus Leeds, an Event Industry exhibition with some of the biggest names in the industry, added several new Festivals into our diaries, including Radio 1s Big Weekend, Download and Ramblin’ Man fair and some new clients including, Ground Control, TG Events and London International Festival of Theatre.

Production Park continues to be an ever-growing client and we’ve been working round the clock with them to fabricate stages for, Robbie Williams, Arcade Fire, Princess Cruises and System of a Down, while doing production rehearsals for a variety of different companies and artists.

As you may have heard we procured the tender to supply labour to Hull UK City of Culture 2017 and added Rona to our roster of employees. Rona has settled in to TMC lifestyle and has been a great addition to the team. We have just welcomed another new full time member to the team, Mark Hammill (No, not Luke Skywalker). Mark has been one of the key self-employed personnel for TMC since its inception in 2011. With a plethora of skills to bring to bear Mark has already dived head first into his new role as Logistics Coordinator.

So, with Summer already calling, we’d better get back, see you on the Dark side!
